Default A sad ending to a great boat

Found some pics at another forum of the old Tencara Callan Marine.. it`s rotting away somewhere down in Deland,FL. Just think of what a great pleasure/poker run boat this could have been?

Here`s a picture from 1997 when it ran as JollyMotors, Laith & JT became world champions with this boat that year.

So it`s a graveyard for old race boats in other words? It`s doubtful that this Tencara is repairable now it seems like it has been sitting out there for quite some years, but i think a guy like Gary Stray could have fixed the damage it got in Key West 04 within 1-2 weeks if the boat had been in better condition.

It’s someone’s yard. Don’t remember the details but I think he transported Nigel Hooks boat. Think I remember seeing the 6 door Lucas tow vehicle. It’s not far from Mystic so if someone wanted to fix it they could.
That picture I posted was before it stuffed in Key West.

Alright. Is the boat still owned by John Cosker? i noticed the cockpit was gone maybe he cut it off for a mold? I`m not a naval architect nor a boat builder but i imagine it must be a real nightmare trying to repair this boat now since the materials are weakened after so many years outdoors. A real shame, hate seeing great boats end up like this. Great pic btw.

It’s been awhile but we usually ride past it during Bike Week/Biketoberfest. Probably going in a couple of weeks might take a ride past if I get time.
