Default NJ to Florida; good place to stop?

Where's a good place to stop, either hotel or rest area? Trailering boat down myself for the Key West poker run. Would like to get to Georgia or even northern Florida, before stopping. Any decent and safe spots to stop along I-95? Thanks

Couldn't find someone to help you out on the trip down?

When I used to trailer down to kw from Long Island we would stop at the Florida line in the rest stop / welcome center. We never had a problem there and we would get some shut eye there for a about 6 hrs . Hope this helps .

Like Tom FTM said , plan on the Welcome Center at the Florida Georgia Line. If you get a little behind schedule stop at the Carolina / Georgia Welcome Center, Georgia is a very short State to get across , so if you get sleepy it's not worth trying to make it to the Florida Welcome Center. I make the round trip from Florida to the Northeast and back to Florida once or twice and sometimes three times a month. Good luck and drive safe.W

South of the border in Dillon South Carolina on highway 301. There is an exit for it and has plenty of parking.

.

Florence, SC is a great place to stop when hauling a boat, its just off of I95

lots of hotels, food places to eat, and plenty of room to maneuver a big haul

good luck, have fun, let us know how you make out

In Georgia, I usually stop at exit #3, Kingsland GA

Again, lots of food places, hotels, many places for fuel, lots of room to maneuver a big haul

for fuel, don't take the first one you see, drive towards the busy town and pick your favorite fuel brand

Who can stop on the way down ? Too exciting to get there !!! I get my second wind once I hit the Florida line !! All joking aside , don’t bother stopping at south of the border place is a dump in my opinion. Any of the bigger exits with lots of stuff Is your best bet. My days of sleeping in the truck are over . Nothing better than getting a decent nights sleep and shower for the last leg so when you get there your ready to party !!

Which south of the border place are you referring to? Thanks. Still in my 30's, so sleeping in the truck is good with me. As I get older, I'm sure that will change.
