I may have to give it a shot...If I like it better I may modify my seat so I can see over my windshield without a rigjob cushion on the seat hahaha

Hmmmm....sit down Nordic heat with a bustle??? That would be a sight lol

I'm definitely more of a stand up guy, especially on busy weekends, a lot of idiots out there to look out for, poker runs are 50/50, over 60 I'm usually in the seat

I preferred to sit. The seat bases in my 30 Y2K are quite thick an compress quite a bit and absorb a bunch. It’s my right pointy ass elbow that takes the most beating. That’s what works best in my application for me. I’m sure it depends on free board, sightlines, as well.

Cats ride so nice you are better off sitting, besides you are over the tunnel, you would be standing on the boat instead of in it. In our 50 Cig we stand but it does get old after while.

IMO people that prefer to stand probably have bolster seat that IMO are designed for standing at speed. When sitting in a bolster I always feel the seats are to high and my legs are not secure. In a bolster seat I would prefer to stand. Now in a properly designed sit down seat I feel way more in control of the boat and way more secure from a potential stuff and side hits. When your dash and windscreen are designed for the correct vision to see over while sitting down there is no problem seeing.

Makes a lot of sense typhoon...now that you brought it up most of the "sit down" boats I've seen have high back like racecar type seats...my bolsters aren't even close to a design like that...the backs stop in about the middle of my back when sitting so I think that may be why I feel kinda "vulnerable" in that position...plus like you said my feet are damn near dangling in the breeze which isn't great at 80 either hahaha

I agree 100% with Randy. My Scarab has stand up drop bottom bolsters. I fit like a glove. When I try to sit I can't see over the dash or thru the windscreen.

I always drop the bolster down and stand in my Baja.
Only time I sit is anchored eating lunch.
The Wife however pretty much always sits, even running hard.
