Anyone driving to Florida soon???
From Overland Park, Kansas or LOTO? I have a IMCO shorty that I need to get to Cape Coral (or anywhere within a few hours) and don't want to take the risk of shipping it. Will help with fuel...Not in a big hurry
Thanks in advance, Craig |
How AADS pallets/ships. Not a scratch on it. George can provide directions to whomever would be shipping it.

you can put a 1000 stickers on those things and the FEDEX or UPS dudes will still damage it and then then tell you it`s your packaging , insurance denied , ****ers

Craig, AADS is All American Drive Service in Bronson, MI. George is the owner. This is how they crate up drives to ship after they have rebuilt them. When George did my drive I believe at the time he stated he had an instruction sheet on how they crate drives up for shipping in case you want to do it yourself. From the pic you can see what they do. Old wood pallet, cardboard and metal strapping to screw drive to the pallet, etc. I would recheck my invoice to see who he used for shipping but I believe I gave it the the new owner of my boat. I can look to see if I kept it. I had it shipped to a buddy's auto body shop as it was cheaper to be delivered to a business address as opposed to residential. Drive arrived in Illinois unmolested. Don't hesitate to give them a call. Good peeps.

as an ex ups driver, if you ship a drive through them its generally because you're being cheap. UPS systems were never designed to handle that type of irregular pkg and weight. UPS only went to above 70lbs in the 1994 contract negotiations. so there fore you now have a 150 lb pkg sliding down a chute or a belt line designed for 70lbs max. I have stated on this forum as well as others for lost pkgs as a shipper you need to afix your address or the persons address you are shipping to directly on the item as well as on the outside the packaging...

I am leaving Friday the 24th 6AM.Headed to Santa Rosa, will be there by Saturday lunch time. No room for a pallet, but a unit on foam and shrink wrap should not be a problem. Sorry, forgot to tell where from. LOTO near Carl's Hardware on HH.

Option to deliver from LOTO is TODAY! Headed down from KC to deliver a boat.
Craig - I can get the lower to Helmwurst tomorrow if his FL destination was good for you. Let me know.... |
