Waverunner Question

I've always wondered how much damage I see happen when someone brings a wave runner onto a trailer and then pulls it forward, gets on it, starts it,and guns it to get the water out of it:rolleyes:

I know we cannot do that to our boats cause it'll chew up our impeller in a jiffy....

Doesn't that tear up those things:confused:

Always wondered about that

Good question!, No because they do not have a seperate water pump. They pull water fron the jet pump itself which has an aluminum or stainless internal prop (impellor)

It wont hurt it as long as long as he doesnt do it too long. It blows the water out of the exhaust but it also pulls water out the cylinders. If he does it too long he could heat up the pistons, possibly stick a ring or melt a piston.

I've always shot the water out of them after loading them on the trailer. Just hitting the throttle a couple short times is all it takes.
