That's a shame. I was really looking forward to running in it. I might still take her up there just to enjoy that area.

Animals have to be slaughtered every week for size and consistency. Miss a week or two and there’s to many and oversized. Kills have been down since restaurant shut downs. Farmers and growers are getting short end of this mess.

Sucks Bonye is canceled but remember it’s for the kids, donate your deposit.... I did

It is a very difficult call. I really wanted it to happen. I hope July rolls around and we all wonder why the hell did we cancel this. This is a very small town and seems pretty safe from everything that is going on around the world. I only know of three confirmed cases from the people I know. My College teacher from Petsokey has passed- 80's, the owner of the party store across from my dealership has passed- 50's, and a family friend has been released once and is now back in the hospital -70's. I remember about 8 years ago on the 4th of July in front of the dealership, a gentleman fell over not feeling well. Me and my brother in-law grabbed the guy and found him a chair. I called 911. We waited for the ambulance. The next day me and my brother in-law both ended up sick as a dog. Sorry to bore you with my stories, but I did not feel at this time we can 100% guarantee the safety of 5000 people walking around our streets by July. I hope I look like a fool by then and this has passed. This does not even include the cost of the event, if we spent thousands of dollars and found we had to cancel in the middle of June. I personally am sorry we had to cancel this, hopefully people are still able to get up north and enjoy boating

I didn't end up planning to do anything this year, Boyne was on the short list. you could have kept my deposit money - as it;s happened to me before not being able to make an event. I think people can see your point of cancelling, not wanting to be the source of an outbreak if you can help it.

I am sure this will drive up the demand for next years run, if we all have our boats still...

Been dumping milk for a long time now--grew up in Mid Michigan and in high school dated the granddaughter of the guy who originated this!

Boyne Thunder people....sorry people. Sucks for all those involved, for sure. Attendees and businesses and charities and.......

Our Bike Week got cancelled, holy hell that’s going to hurt our area. Depending on weather and economics we get between 180,000 and 350,000 bikers+ associated bike visitors that week. Ugghh.

Times we are in.

Hope the bleeding ends soon.
