Default Dash ideas

I hate the bolted on helm box in my 24 Pantera. Doing gauges now and it’s just pissing me off more. Was thinking take it off mount gauges straight into dash. Get an extension for hydraulic steering I’m doing. Then a pod for controls and tab switch.....am I crazy??

I did mine over, then the GPS didn’t fit with the steering, so doing it again.

12” Garmin for gauge display using Nolan RS11 A/D converter. Analog gauges on passenger side as backup/extra set of eyes.

That wall is a bulkhead and you wouldn't hardly be able to see the gauges.
I don't see a problem with the current dash set up. That is basically how all Pantera 24 and 28 dashes are.

I know I hear ya. Just A LOT stuffed in this little helm. Steering, controls, switch panel, gauges it’s like a birds nest. Going external hydraulic steering bc I can’t even get shifter in with a steering cable. My P&D was gauges all in the lip on fairing much nicer. Hate the bolted on box. I understand guys doing a dash straight across, just can’t get in cabin then. F’n around last night trying to just get gauges out I was ready to sawzall the boat in half lol
