1) Sad about the crash, no matter what caused it.
Thanks to those here describing the area to us that don’t know it.
2) Yikes about that shark thing at the docks. Oh, and also where this boat struck the rocks. Couldn’t inagine.

"Words can not express the agony, pain, anger, impotence and desperation I feel right now. I’m doing the impossible and my best to find ANYTHING about my daughter’s whereabouts. My Javi was found. His body was in bad very bad shape. It was horrible! I just pray he didn’t suffered but my chiki still missing. Don’t know if she drowned, if she was kidnapped, swallowed by the ocean or eaten by sharks. Not knowing anything is the worst!!! There was a huge confusion in this island and I was told the wrong information when the locals said she was found. I will not leave this island, these waters until I find her or find anything to lead me to her recovery. A long weekend vacation turned into a tragedy. Two beautiful souls. My Javi, a successful Entrepreneur which he dad plans to marry her next summer and my chiki at her third year Psychology Student, Both with all their lives ahead, dreams and accomplishments to be fulfilled and is now all gone. Weather is not helping me right now with the search but I will take my chances. If anything happens to me I will die honoring my children. 💔🙏 I AM NOT AFFRAID!!!!"

That is really sad. Not sure of the timeline but the crash was early am (1:20 I think) and they didn't find the man's body until daylight. If she was in the water that is a lot of drift time (4-5 hours) if she got into a current.
The Bahamians tend to be crooked and they still have 2 unsolved Bimini murders from 2019 they are working on. Owner of Big John's was shot multiple times inside Bimini Bay (his condo) yet nobody knows anything?

Wow!
So sad.
One more reason I hate boating at night.
Ive had several close calls, in the middle of nowhere, w/no one to help, that luckily ended well but am smart enough to appreciate the “lucky” part.

Javier and Carolyn did not know Fernandez until they met by chance in Bimini.
More mysteriously, Alvarez said she found the power wires of the boat’s GPS unit had been snipped. Familiar enough with boats, she said she managed to get the unit working — and was able to review the boat’s movements in the days before the crash. Alvarez said she noticed that on the night of the crash, the boat veered sharply off its marked safe course, directly in North Turtle Rock, a well-known landmark two miles off shore.

I lost my 24 yr old son in a car accident in 2012. The pain never goes away!! You Just learn to deal with it. My heart goes out to the families of these lost soles. At this time, all you can do is pray, is that they were children of God, so that you know where they will be for eternity. RIP I will be PRAYING for the families.
