Clarification: The engine will burn alcohol as fuel on Saturday during the Shootout. On Sunday, Crockett will add nitromethane (5 percent) to the alcohol fuel.

Sorry for any confusion my mis-wording may have created. Cheers.

That is a speed secret the old alcohol drag racers used to use they called it putting some pop in the tank .

Joker hulls are great for rough water but, he really should look into a hull with a pad bottom like a Velocity, Fountain, or even a Tuff. It would make things much easier to control on the top end. All the best to him though.

Well? I saw the near-out-of-control run on Saturday with a speed of 112. How did Sunday go?

In a twin-engine I can see that. From what I understand, even the 177 MPH Outerlimits was semi converted to pad(ish) for the record run. But how do you do that in a single? Wont it prop walk? Somebody educate me.

So same as in other years.;(
