key west is a liberal town .
when tourism is at a complete halt.then maybe nancy will send greg lots of government $$$$$.
after the banks foreclose on all the stores on t- shirt alley .
the locals can buy them back and maybe make keywest nice again

i see it as a legal nightmare , "sonney went to the race got to close to someone and had the sniffles and then went home and had dinner with grandparents and they got sick with the" evil 19er "
you can bet there's a attorney licking his chops to do a class action on some" kingfish" with deep pockets and net some serious coin
and november 10th this will all go away

It also comes down to hospital bed capacity. Key West is a place to fix a broken arm/leg or get a few stitches but certainly NOT a place for a major illness/condition. They ship big cases out to Miami which is already overwhelmed. Key West is a huge tourist destination even without races/cruise ships/fantasy fest events. I don't consider it a place with healthy, educated residents.

If I had a brand new performance boat sitting at the dock with a full tank, Key West would not be where I'd go this year. Why take the risk? It will be there next year!

Hopefully a vaccine will be available early 2021......
