My desire for a 38, if I had one, would not be tied up with a “mines bigger than yours” attitude. That’s generally associated with a need to prop up ones identity. My boat ownership is tied to my particular interest. It’s a tool to achieve an end, irrespective of anyone else’s impression. Bombastic rhetoric doesn’t promote an inclusive political message, especially at a time when we need all Americans if we are to overcome the current challenges and lift others up. “Thousands” of Trump boaters don’t necessarily reflect the opinions of the majority of 14 million boat owners.

I did not say it made you trash. I meant don’t align with traditionally trashy behaviors. Trump has brought us down to a level of incivility rarely seen in prior times. Rise above “boom”, whatever that implies, or petty memes. You can support someone’s political views and not emulate their worst traits.
