This mornings paper (News Press) front page said the Fort Meyers event organizers are looking to set some record for these events. Reportedly saying someone from the Coast Guard or ? indicated there was roughly 11,000 boats at the event. I believe they were saying it was a combination of folks from Fort Myers/Cape Coral and Port Charlotte area. Article said they organizers are in contact with Guinness. I can say there were definitely a whole bunch of boats and flags on the river!
