Pantera 24

What to look out for on 24 pantera before buying.

Depends on the year. There’s a lot to look out for on the older ones. Soggy transom and stringers, soft spots in the floor and deck etc. I owned an 82’ 24’ 20 years ago and I replaced the transom and stringers from the cabin back. They are great boats, not the fastest but ride like a bigger boat in snotty water.

Nothing really any different to look out for than on any other boat.

Drive it before you buy it. 24x7 boats are not for everyone. I loved mine

True, especially depending on power and setup.

It’s a very narrow boat with a 6’8” beam and has a relatively low freeboard. At higher speeds they like to chine walk and don’t feel “planted”. So if this is a first boat or one you plan on taking friends out on, it can either be a lot of fun or it can be scary as all get out.

Small cockpit and low freeboard. I converted mine to a sit down boat and liked it MUCH better. Mine had zero chine walk, but it had a very fine line between being planted and sending the bow to the sky. Once you get the trim and tabs set for the conditions they are a fun boat.
