I`ve had over 300 transactions through ebay. Not one bad experience!

Although, you should always check the feedback on the seller before bidding. Click on the number beside the sellers user id.

I've bought a total of 5 things without any problems. I'm still waiting on a christmas item I bought from 2weeks ago. I'm not sure if this is the one I'm going to get screwed on though.

I buy from people who have good feedback. That tells me there trying to keep a good reputation.

I've done about 200 transactions (100 buy / 100 sell). Only one problem, a guy didn't pay, but I didn't ship so, no loss.

I try to do everything through PayPal.

Ebay offers up to $200 protection. But if you use PayPal (and a credit card), you get the added prtection of the card (i.e., disputing a transaction). Also PayPal offers additional protection (for a few of course).

Done a lot of business on eBay, buying and selling with no problems. Make sure if you have any questions about the product that you e-mail the seller. Also find out the shipping costs before buying. Some will try to stick it to you with inflated shipping costs

The feedback is not always a true indicator of the person responsibility. There are numberous things on ebay where the person has created their own feedback. This is easily done by creating multiple accounts. It's basically buyer beware. Ebay takes a overly conservative approach to controlling fraud on their website.
