With over 10,000 hours in 350+ different military aircraft, I'm sure his logbook will never be matched. I know it's inevitable, but it saddens me to see the loss of our "Greatest Generation"..........

Chuck Yeager retired in the small town I grew up in. My mom saw him in the phone book and gave him a call. A week later he was at my grade school talking to the class. Super nice dude.

I don't know why but I was just thinking imagine the changes he seen in his 97 years.
What is that saying? A life lived well. |
when you think about it, when he was born air flight was only 20 years old and not overly advanced. that means that he saw and was a big part of nearly all of flight history in some form or another. how many of us can say any thing close to that? quite a remarkable life and a bigger than life man. RIP.

Chuck was one of the great ones. We will never see the likes of him again. R.I.P.
