I have pulled a 46 Skater for 5 yrs on a flat trailer with no permits but I did put oversize load signs and flags on the back corners. I have also pulled a 41 Cig CC from MI to FL for 5 yrs with no signs or permits. it is 11ft wide I wouldn't put any signs or flags on a 32, it will just draw attention to you. Do not go into any weight stations or check points like the one at the FL line. You are pulling it illegally and that could change everything if you were to have a bad accident, Sorry didn't mean to ruin your trip. It will be fine, Congrats on your new boat. My bother is redoing a 32 right now, really nice boats.
Thanks for the info/advice, and yeah I thought about the accident scenario, and if my insurance would decline a claim.... But I'm going to take it easy on the way back Dean |
If you run an app on your mobile phone like "WAZE", the navi system is helpful in avoiding radar traps, traffic tie ups and alternate routing on the fly.
The big @ss end of a DRW truck really detracts attention to the beam of the boat on a trailer |

I towed my 36 Cig which has a 9'6" beam back and forth from Chicago to FL for 15 years no problems. Also had some side trips to Michigan and NJ.
I will say the widest part of the boat is up by the windshield so from the transom it didn't look all that wide. I don't remember ever being stopped. There was the one time the boat would up on it's side in Kentucky............................... however that is a completely different and long story |
Never had an issue. Go for it.
