Single 1350 tuff 34
Nice looking boat, wanting to reclaim the record, doesn't say who took it from him

Is Howard boats still in the mix?
|
That thing is ridiculous. Right up my alley. I will love a 24 someday. For the kids to ski and tube behind of course.
|
Did you catch how many hp it took.to best Mark's Tuff by 3 mph?
Mark builds a beautiful boat that is definitely F-A-S-T. I've never met a Tuff owner that wasn't short of totally impressed with Mark or his builds....Canadian version of Mike Fiore (Outerlimits) |
^Yes and if my memory serves correctly that motor Crockett built was toast or just about after the three or for runs. I want to say he was running a joker hull? The Tuff did 125 with stock power and a hull you could tell them to start building tomorrow if you wanted.

Tyler's motor was in good shape after those runs. I think he was running around 2500 HP that year. He's targeting 3400 HP this year.

Maybe it was the drive then. Either way, very impressive out of the Tuff.

So Joker it is!:boat:
|
Crockett had plenty of power to go faster. Not sure if the hull can handle it though. He doesn't even go WOT till about half course
I hope Tuff can get it done. Head to head competition is great. |
Tyler has said that he only really needs the last 1/4 mile for his top speed. He just holds it steady until he gets to the last portion. If he could hold it wide open the whole time it would be a huge number. It'll be cool to see we he and Tuff can do at LOTO.

Is Tyler's Joker an old school Flat bottom or a stepped hull?

Always loved the 24 or 28 boats! Really cool to see the backstory and growth!!
|
Tuff had a 28 Tuff w/twin 300 Xs OBs there that also ran into the low 120’s.
Faster than a 28 Skater there w/same power. The Tuffs are bad ass vee bottoms! |
Awesome.
Be safe. |

I do like watching those guys ski race! I’ve gone 55mph behind a jackass friends boat once on a choppy lake and that was enough for me. |
