You are welcome to do business with whomever you please but if you are interested in knowing the truth about Bob and his home based business Marine Kinetics there's a lot of interesting info that came to light a few years ago.

Looking for a 241/246-680/680 w/aluminum core🙈 |
I wouldn't buy briggs and stratton parts from that fast talking SOB...doesn't stand behind anything but his credit card machine....
there i said it...:angry-smiley-038: but as said deal with who ever you want.... |
I wish some of those threads about Snake oil Bob weren`t deleted. It allows him to pray on others who not aware of the situation.
|
huh... He did several cams for ME..
No complaints. my stuff ran GOOD :) https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...c7e1ba74ee.jpg https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...7807a5f92b.jpg |
I used bob and it was a amazing experience, always had entertaining conversations. Got the camshaft & valve train from him. With his recipe the naturally aspirated 428 sbc pushed my old tug to @ 90.
|
If not bob then who?
|
Lunati, Comp. Crane, Bullet. They will all spec you a cam. Lunati would be my first call. By the time Bob has everything drop shipped to you, you will pay more for shipping than his junk parts are worth

I think I remember some of that.

and snake oil lifters and water reverting cam designs...
I'm glad some of you had good luck with him -- he cost me 10's of thousands of dollars and then went on a Philadelphia lawyer rampage on the phone trying to talk over my head. Big words don't impress me and Con men should be out of the game...he's just another poser in the Marine business sitting at his kitchen table in the suburbs... |
I remember the google earth pic of his business. Hah... say whaaaaat. Looked near ghettoish (residence). But that honestly doesn’t even bother me. It’s all the thousands and thousands of dollars resulting in several members having to spend rebuilding from the bottom up. Am glad some had good results.

Even a broken clock is right twice a day. He cost me a decent amount. His promised custom spec afr heads had guides borderline too tight for a street rod never mind a supercharged marine engine
|
Bob works out of his house with NO garage or shop but claims he was just out in his shop spintron testing and working on custom engine parts when in reality he drop ships parts, lies, misrepresents, and specs some bad builds.
Boaters only like him because they can talk (dream) on the phone and ask stupid questions and get over technical answers that make them feel warm and fuzzy. The tire kickers of OSO over hyped his abilities with no first hand experience actually buying parts. And the guys who did buy promoted him before ever finishing a build, let alone running it hard. I personally have seen multiple issues from friends that are not members on here along with being screwed over myself. Alex Haxby, Mark Rhinda, Brian Orlandi, are just a few successful engine builders that have parted ways with him. So not only does he make mistakes, but when confronted with facts about them he goes off the deep end beyond words. Everyone makes mistakes it's their customer service and what they do to remedy their mistakes that keep them in business successfully. |

I’ve never dealt with him, just never understood why basic 502 builds with better heads needed custom ground cams.
|
Bobs recent dyno pull with his fancy cams and whatever other snake oil he sells. (IN RED)
My buddies off the shelf stuff ( IN BLACK) Looks like bob hasn`t learned a thing. https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...ecc37cb3d7.jpg |
