Who tows with an f250?
Trying to decide if I should get a f250 or if an f150 will do the job. I bought a statement 350 dry weight 9250 so the f150 has plenty of tow capacity but it will feel very small with that boat behind it. I plan to only two it 2-3 times a year.
changing the question here! Is an f250 big enough for the 35’ statement a couple times a year? |
That’s a lot of boat for a F150.It sounds like you are going to buy a truck any how, so look for a 250 or 350.

OMG...that 150 will be bouncing off the front wheels. I've had 350's, 250's, and now a 150. The 150 barely holds groceries...it's junk for anything IMO. I wouldn't tow a damn thing behind my 150...nothing. If you tow a 35' boat with a 150 you'll be into a telephone pole in a quarter mile, don't even think about it. Super Duty all the way.

Is a f-250 enough then?

9250 is boat only?
I think F-150’s are great but think that’s too much for it. Your getting to the point where the boat owns the truck. |
That's way too much loaded weight for a half ton......

My 250 handled my 33' PowerPlay well, for a couple times a year you're fine. If I were to haul a 35 all the time and long distance I'd go 350. Between the truck and boat it's a considerable investment, why screw around?

I’d really like to stay with a 250 because I drive a lot daily. If I go 350 I’d have to keep my raptor and have a 350 which is more than I want to pay for. |
