I have been on this boat and can say it's perfect with only 16 hours actual use, not the 24 that included diagnostics and electrical repair from the factory! I'm sure the boat could be had for less than listed, I would think you could put some power and drives in it and still have a new 47 for half the cost!
As far as the paint goes it may not appeal to everyone but that is what makes us all unique individuals. Remember the person that enjoyed that style graphic may be on OSO and may of even given you some advise that you used while working on your own boat!
Yes the X owner is a good friend of mine!

At least 500EFI's or 525's But maybe 500's with whipples. Hard decision:

HP500's = 80 +mph..... $60K
HP500's x whipple = 95+mph..... $90K
Custom Paint 10-15K....
....I'm running out of $$$ real fast

I dont want to go too custom for future resale reasons but I will have IMCO SC's on it for trouble free boating. The boat is a 9 1/2+ in condition (minus the engines of course duh) But with a little TLC and a little paint it should be a real looker.

Ray, you going to sell the PQ now? Will the beaker fit in the well at the new cottage (of course, it's a 47 Fountain, so that means it should fit in a well designed for a 38' "regular" boat! )

rocker: believe me it thing is SIGNICANTLY larger than the PQ! My canal side is 60' wide, Just barely big enough.

I can only have a 40' well. Guess I will have to side lift it. I may use the PQ mostly this next summer as I need to set up a "cash schedule" in order to complete the Fountain. Plus then I have to get a lift installed. then.....? A week ago I was not even concidering buying another boat so my plans are still in flux.

My PQ has a very similar notched transom compaired to the Fountain so size comparisons would be closer than you think. The nice thing about the beak is it bends down giving you a better view when looking forward.
