Mercury 600 Outboard Update
 

So now that the hype has calmed down on the mercury 600s. Do you think they're worth it for these big CC's and sport yachts? Or would you rather have diesels? I would also like to hear from people that actually have these types of boats. Is this something you would consider powering your boat/yacht with?

Other then space and on these big boats theres plenty of room under the floor , I dont want 4 or 5 headaches vs 2 diesels

It's an expression of personal preference that happens to agree with your personal preference. You imply that anyone who doesn't share your preferences is stupid and that in itself is kinda dumb. It's an apples to oranges comparison - Many people will prefer their boats with inboard diesels and as the emerging market seems to be indicating; many others will prefer the speed, shallow draft and layout options that come with the big outboards. Neither is universally better across the board for all buyers - forget about blind loyalty to one "camp" or the other - go through your checklist of wants and decide which is best for you.
