Commenters on Facebook argued over the price of the yacht, which appears to be a Scout 380 LXF retailing at $825,222 according to the company's website.

12 ft beam, 17K lbs............Sure hope the driver had extra leaf springs in his eco-boost F150! :D

if you look at the pictures no flags, banners, or straps on the boat. Also heard it was a 42 scout with twin 600's

Wow, that had to suck. Here is a youtube video that shows what bad weight distribution can do. Not saying that was the cause, but it could be.

Cant tell you how many of my Fla boating friends tow w/o straps!

Just because they’ve been lucky..........

I know when I was selling trailer boats in Columbus in the early 90’s’, many of our competitors sold rigs w/no straps and trailers w/no brakes even though they were over the states 2k limit and it was against the law!

It is easy to think: "boat is so heavy, I'm only going local........." But man to they get a hard punch to the gut when the boat thuds onto the pavement!

Nortech has had a bunch of high dollar boats hit the road. The big 50 quad engine cat Gold Rush always sticks in my mind!

We just had a 100K+ Albury thump the ground literally 500 ft down the road from the ramp.

That would suck, maybe, delivery to its new owner from the West Palm boat show?

"Hi, Mr new owner, yeah, about the boat you bought at the boat show...."
