Used Eagle trailer

What is a 10 yr old Eagle with tandem axles and surge brakes value? Fresh water trailer. Carries 242 Formula.

My 13 year old Eagle for a 24' boat, 6000# trailer is totally
rusted out in the front end. Totally unusable and lucky I didn't
lose it on the road. I don't think the inside surface of the box steel
they use is treated to resist rust at all. Therefore I think it will rust from the inside under any conditions. Check the front end real well as the trailer would probly retain some water there.
If everything is OK I think the trailer may be worth $600 to
$800. That's strictly a guess.
Don't buy steel if you will use it in brackish or salt water. Do a
search on "Trailers" on this site for some good thoughts.

A 10 year old box frame trailer isn't worth buying for exactly what Raynman said.
Fresh water or not a box frame will and does rust out from the inside. I would not consider one if you are looking for longevity.
A channel type constuction trailer does not trap water as my friends original 1977 Martini channel type trailer still supports his boat after all these years.
Save your money for a good trailer. Generally, a boat spends most of it's life on a trailer. Therefore, it is money well spent.

I saw a 10 year old Eagle couple of years ago go into the shop for a paint job. The sandblaster riped it apart because of all the internal rust. Woundn't touch a box trailer.
