this screw's me up because iam flying down on thurs to see my buddy race in f-1race and fly out first thing sunday morining i tried to change my flight but none avalible. just venting!! jim h |
Jim that is why I gave up going down!!!! You can not trust the scedual even at the worlds. YA YA I am sure that they have a good excuse (NOT) but what ever. When you get down there even on your flight down try and talk to the sterwardeses/agents real nice like and beg them for a flight change. Just don't let them know you are begging :D They will definatly have openings you will just have to get the one that wants to help tell them you do not mind paying the 75 or 100 bucks if they have to charge it to you, then get on standbye. OR miss your flight all together and go there and do standbye to get home. :D

Sorry Jim, I do not understand how the schedule can be changed
a week before the race, I have a new sponsor and several other friends that have gotten their tickets months ago, this was the first race my drivers wife was able to make, we have always raced on Saturday. I would understand if the change was due to weather or some other unforeseen problem. I hope this will be changed back before next weekend. Eddie Simmons F1-68 WORLD PLAYER CASINO.com |
First time in about fifteen years I did not go to Key West because of the whole APBA SBI bull.
Not suprised that they continue to screw with the fans At least the SBI pulled out early so if you wanted to make plans to see a race you had a shot at good fares and hotel prices. Staying on poker run circuit. APBA was a maybe till a wek ago Klaw |
Jim, try southwest, they fly into LI from Ft. Lauderdale.
Good luck. |
Yeah !!! poker run,LOTSA FUN :D :D :D tripps

The class schedule contained this disclaimer:
"To allow our racers to better plan their time at the Worlds in Key West next week we are announcing the race class participants prior to the event. This is always a bit perilous because we are never positive of the number of entries in each class until registration. Yet we want to do our best to give you all a “heads up.” This is our best thinking at this time and we believe this breakdown will not change." If everyone preregistered we could do it perfectly. We will NOT do something unsafe like race 40 boats in one race and 15 in another to adhere to a schedule that is tentative in the first place. We have never announced class breakdowns prior to an event so the "schedule changes" referred to must have been race times. Races themselves went off as scheduled. Not going to the APBA World's simply eliminates your chance to see great offshore boats and racing in one place. Ted Zoli |
