Florida marina Slips
 

Ok, I'm going to ask a dumb question. I have always boating in fresh water but all over the US. The closest to salt water I've been to, is the TickFaw Poker Run. I know its mostly brackish water too. I sold my 36 Cat, I just joined the Center Console family recently with the purchase of a new Statement 35 with 400's on it. My intentions are to use it in south Florida during the winter months, and bring it back to Okla during the spring and summer months. But being totally green with salt water and big water operation, what are good sources for information. I have several questions to ask and was hoping that someone would kindly help me out. I have some navigation skills, but mostly what concerns me at this point is where and how do store my boat when I'm Florida.

1. Do the marinas offer weekly or just monthly or yearly rack storage.
2. Do you have to make daily reservation, and do they charge a daily put in and take out fee, when you want to take your boat out for a day.
3. where do you store your Truck and trailer storage, while in Florida.
4. What about daily transient slip rental.
5. Are the marinas open 24/7
6. Do they flush out your engines and rinse the boat down after using it.
7. Is the west coast or east coast best for first timers? and what are do you recommend
Sorry I have so many question, but just need information on what to do.

I’ve been doing the Florida thing for 20+ years. I can point you in the right direction or show you around. Doing a FPC run will get you a good start too. Stu is a wealth of knowledge and you’ll be running in a group while getting the hang of things. Shoot me a text sometime and we’ll get it figured out. All you do to flush outboards is screw a garden hose into the side of the cowling. You don’t even have to start the motor. You’ll enjoy the ease of the CC and the shade. It’ll make boating fun again.
