Crownline parts

We have a 2000 Crownline 205br. Our port side curved section windshield broke (basketball hoop mishap) and apparently they’re impossible to get a replacement for. I’ve called Crownline, dealers, Taylor made glass, etc.
Does anyone know where else I could try to find a replacement windshield? What do people do when their windshields break?

Are you saying that Crownline is still in business and they couldn't help you ? That's outrageous.
And are you saying that it's a Taylor made piece and they couldn't help either ?
Maybe someone else here will be able to help you based on their experiences but in the meantime do a search on windshields and windscreens . There's been a lot of discussion in the past on the topic.

Yes! Crownline was acquired by a new manufacturer in 2009, still produce Crownline boats, but they do not produce windshields. The windshields are manufactured by TaylorMade, but they do not have replacement windshields either. I’m at a loss.

Years ago we called Taylor made to get the port side glass after it cracked on our 266. We had the glass within a week. Worries me if they arent supporting the boat anymore

I worked at a pretty good sized Crownline dealership in upstate New York for 30 years before recently retiring. I know exactly how hard it is to get parts for older boats. In fact a number of years ago we went through hell to get one half of a windshield for a customer. After lots of effort, we finally got it - and it was the wrong part.

That mistake might just play into your hands. I'm pretty sure they still have that part sitting in a building at the storage yard. I don't remember what model it was ordered for, but as I said, it ended up being the wrong part anyway. So I'm pretty sure nobody knows what it really is. But since Crownline (and most manufacturers) use common windshields across many different models, there's at least a chance it might fit your boat. Would you like me to see if they still have it and if so, get you a description, pictures and dimensions?

That would be great!! I will keep my fingers crossed that this works out :) The window base of boat to angled top of windshield frame on the curve is 21”. The center from the base to the top of the frame is 26”. The base of the curved windshield width is 40”. The top end to end is 36”. The tag on the frame says “Taylor Made 692113”. The glass itself is stamped Taylor Made clear curve AS2, DOT 134.

Give me a few days to get down to the marina and see if they still have it.

Sometimes you get lucky. Sometimes you don't. The one they have is a starboard side. Looks like Part # 775004500204 for a CRW202. Well, we tried. Sorry.

Looks like there are possibly two options on Ebay. Search "2000 Crownline 205br windshield" on google and grab your tape measure!
