2 things stood out (the boat wasn't either).............all the Fountain guys are older so I wouldn't expect any "fresh ideas" on a 25+ year old design and I thought someone should have slipped Reggie a Red Bull before the video. Not sure I'd want any bald guy in a factory video throttling a Fountain, it is just too easy to assimilate him with the other guy made famous in the viral video.

Nice to see them building new 42s, plenty of V builders have moved on to the CC market. I hope the new owner enjoys his new boat, its a fast boat with huge power!

I am certainly not a Fountain guy but except for thy curvy stern deck lines nice looking boat . Cant deny that hull works . Never been a fan of the curvy euro styling ( probably why I captain a 1985 Cig Flat Deck ) i must prefer the hard lines of the old Apache, Sacrab KV , Cigarette , Pantera etc. RG.

Glad to see the 42 back. I can’t afford one but if I could This is what it would look like. This guy and did a great job on making a Fountain look like a completely different and new boat.

Seems about every 3 months that thing is brought up and where is it hiding etc. Bad ass looking.

On the new 42 I have to say I do not like the back but on one of the FB boards they said they had to put the air scoops in because the turbo motors were starving for air. IDK how true that is but it was what the Fountain folks said.

Not a big fan of this 42. Doesn't really strike me as updated nor competitive with a few of the other offerings out there...It's cool and has a nostalgic feel. It had better be a $200,000 cheaper than comparable OL/Cig/Chief though...

As far as I can tell there is no mention of the new model on Fountain's website. Odd?

It can't be...............the parts (power) costs the same money. The labor is essentially the same and while the paint might be cheaper than the custom stuff the overhead at Fountain is likely the highest of the 2 mentioned. Not sure how Chief is in this conversation, haven't produced a boat in years (10?) and even then they made what 3 total 42s?

Whoever designed the rear end bustle on this new model probably worked on the one below.
