Stupid question on this boat I have been wanting the answer to almost 15 years now but have never asked. What did it actually run with the sterling’s in it? Extreme Boats Mag stopped posting speed numbers after Pammy and I remember reading the article thinking what did it run!? Loved the original build, was torn that it went to outboards but understood that was the original plan, cool to see it now!

So you do remember me. Lol… I dont think I was the one that ended up doing your boat that year in Havasu.

As far as props spinning out that normally creates stern lift. Most all the fast skaters I’ve been around all spin out. Just what I have seen.

And yes now I see it plain as day. As I went back and looked. It is quite a difference.

For those of you questioning setup, the boat came with 1" drive spacers (centerline of propshafts 3.25" above the bottom) and the props spinning in. I changed the setup to Skater's preferred setup of 2.75" above the bottom (1.5" spacers) and the props spinning out. This is the same setup all new 368s get rigged with at Skater, pleasure or race. Some guys prefer spinning in, as the boats are easier to drive - and some would say that setup is "safer". Having owned my 30 Skater with Arneson drives spinning out for 15 years, I'm very used to this setup, and it is my preferred choice. I'm beyond happy with the performance of this 36/700 setup, and I'm looking forward to getting years of reliable boating out of this mild-power rig.
