check drive had it happen 1 time thought motor locked up sounded real bad , pulled drive fired right up. something in drive let go started w/lite knock ended in thud

If this is really an outboard as 26 scarab illuded to, then I know exactly what it is. There is a little warning sticker on the flywheel that the corner peeled up on.............while it's spinning around, it's hitting the case.

Just peel it off ;) :D :D

Sorry had to.........just winterized the fishin boat w/ the outboard
