It's my home-away-from-home...
What dates are you roughly thinking? |
Totally open on dates, where do you stay ?

Rod n Reel resort in Shell Knob was good they had slips 12' x 30' and trailer parking that worked for us but we are just a 29' center console. Lake level is high right now so Campbell Point Marina has lost a lot of parking so you can launch there but they may or may not have parking for your trailer depending on how busy it is. We used the table rock boat ramp just west of rod n reel resort I think it would work for bigger boats but not sure how big.
I spoke to the guy at The Cabins at Branson Meadows he said he had an empty lot we could park the trailer in I told him trailer total length was 33' he didn't see an issue just suggested we lock it which we usually do not that it really means much to lock it...... but the empty lot is right next to the cabins. We would be up for another visit it's only about 3 hours for us. |
Lake level shows 916.71 normal pool is 915 so must have let a bunch out......my house was in Crystal Beach, Shell knob address

We were thinking of going down again this week but our flooring for the boat came in so we held off. I spoke to Campbell Point last Thursday but never bothered to look up the lake level I just took what the guy said at face value so very possible it could have changed from last Thursday. We had no issue in May when we went using the table rock launch but that was before the Missouri monsoon in June!! |

I usually stay in the Shell Knob/Viola area. Memorial Day weekend the lake was at 928, July 4th it was around 920. They've been keeping it high, not releasing much other than for power generation since Bull Shoals (downstream) has been 25' - 30' above normal pool for...years. Poor bastards down there, has to suck.
|
Ive seen the high's and lows of the lake, one yr it was so low I couldn't get the boat off the lift, three other years is was over flood stage they actually closed Kimberling city bridge for a couple days
|
Beautiful lake.... we took the Skater back in June for a poker run put on by some local guys. Small turnout but the hospitality was phenomenal. I think they’re making plans for it again next summer. I hadn’t been there in probably 15 years. There was a handful of of bars/restaurants on the water that I believe had opened since the last time I was there.
|
never heard about the P Run in June, a couple bud's of mine have Top Guns and live on at the lake so maybe we can get something put together. Does Campbell point have large slips available for rent ?

They're pretty anal on the insurance requirements...I believe this is for ANNUAL storage but...I'd call and ask to be sure. https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...3297f7f49a.jpg |
Heading to TR tomorrow, actually.
|
let us know what the lake looks like
|
I'd be interested in meeting up. I've never been there. Would need hotel, cabin, or RV parking and a slip.

Just got back from a week at Table Rock. Lake level about 1.5' higher than normal pool. Good visibility on the White River branch (about 6' clarity), about half that good on the Kings River and James River branches. HOT though...found the Kings just too hot...coved out one place that was 93 degrees, went way up the White to get close to Beaver Lake dam outlet, still was almost 91 degrees. Any sort of water sport and you're sweating in the water, lol!
F'ing wakesurfing boats are just trashing the place these days...for those not familiar with the lake it is more like a series of large river channels, rarely more than 1000' across from shore to shore but runs for miles and miles in multiple directions. Too many of these boats have extremely inconsiderate operators, driving too close to docks, boats, fishermen...I am really surprised someone hasn't got shot or their ass beat. Corps of Engineers supposedly considering bans or restrictions...but hard to enforce. People just need to share the lake responsibly. <end rant> Great lake to go to in my opinion, not nearly as commercialized/busy as LOTO, but by the same token not as many options for those looking for major raft-ups or food/drink places. Below is a picture of my chartplotter...check out the water temp! https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...b8823a9276.jpg |
Chelsey James music video filmed at Table Rock... |
I think the one in red stole the show by not singing.............:D........are we going to throw some dates at this ??
|
There was singing? :hitit:
I'd like to see what others are thinking insofar as going to TR. Last week the air and water temps were MUCH better than the week before...water was about 85 degrees, air around 88. I've got a long vacation planned at Hilton Head at the end of this month and then nothing in September, at the moment... |
I am open all of September and it may be that more docks open up when the kids go back to school (end of August???)
|
September should work for me as well, I have a drive in the shop awaiting the autopsy..........:faint2:
