496 HO water flow issues

Tapping into the wisdom of all on this great forum. I dont know where the ockage is but my water will not flow into the heat exchanger and through the exhaust. I can get it to come up to the heat exchanger but it won't flow through it and into the exhaust. I did backflush it and then forward flush it as well which did shoot out some small wood fragments but the line allowed water to flow cleanly through. There was some small pebbkes in the right hand side of the heat exchanger which were all removed but i still cant get the water to flow completely through. Ive heard about the inlet hose collapsing but mine is so stiff, it is tough to collapse it with tools so i dont think thats the problem not to mention my alarms go off before i can get a good look at very many items at a time.

I would first take the end plates off the coolant heat exchanger to start. The rubber gadkets are know to warp and block flow.

When you think you've backflushed enough, backflush some more.
