I'd have a powerboat at Lake Michigan for summer and a sailboat at the Big Island, Hawaii for winter.

After 33 years living in Naples Florida and fed up with traffic , tourists and summer heat I went back up to Michigan for a couple years.

The old saying you don’t appreciate what you got until you don’t have it anymore holds true.

Now back in Florida I don’t even mind the summer heat because the boating is so perfect along with the diving and fishing.

I like St Pete but you can’t beat the easy beach access at the end of every street if your a resident in Naples. Problem is I can’t afford to buy a place here. Been shopping for places but 900 sqft dumpy 40 year old condos that need 50 grand plus my labor in them are 250 to 300.

Cant even think about single family. My old house I Bought a mile from the beach back in 1996 for $60 thousand is 700 thousand now.

Most likely buy a sailboat and live on it in PalmGhetto Florida, there is a nice marina with a pool and 3 bars and only a mile from the mouth of Tampa bay and the Gulf and most importantly a Publix.

I’m building a warehouse in Palmetto right now, and while it’s a little rough, it’s definitely up and coming.

I had a place in Panama City for 8 years. The cost of living was cheap and was close to Destin. I would like another vacation place there or closer to Destin.

What's the boating like in SC or GA?
I agree with you!! At this point in the summer I’m looking forward to a nice stress free fall Saturday or Sunday at a football game!! Boating is fun, don’t get me wrong, but it wears me down and I need a break from it come fall.
