NOOOOOOooooo,,,, such a main-stay in the sport, they will be missed at all the events. but on a lighter note, I just saved a bunch a money by switching to Geico.... :) |

Team will still be around but with a new sponsor according to them during a conversation at the Cocoa Beach event earlier this year. We'll miss the neon color hull though!! I bet with Pastrana at the wheel It'll be wearing a black hull with a green M! It's unfortunate about the Sky Writer crash but for a company to pull out of sponsorship as a result only demonstrates their wokeism. It's not news that motorsports are dangerous.

The accidents was just a ways to their means in terms of desired/ intended direction for future marketing...(sadly, the 40-50' cats over the years made a helluva bilboard)
similar to doing battle in Open ocean, the Geico sponsorship decision is the signal of the end an era in offshore. Looking forward to the next amf race - always a show! |

I always thought it strange that Geico sponsored an offshore catamaran but would not insure an offshore catamaran.....

they never insured those boats anyhow anyhow.. being in the car business and dealing with insurance, geico flat out sucks. period. they are losing clients right and left for not paying claims and lawsuits out the rear for their authorized repair ctrs screwing up cars to save money. I said from the beginning that as an insurer they sucked, but if they wanted to spend money on a sport we all like, great. america is still free for now.
As far as a car insurer, can't say as I never used them although I have never seen an insurer that didn't stick it to a client somewhere before/during/ or after a claim was filed. |
