Default 36 APACHE

Have you looked at any 36's? They are nice boats, and great in big water. The 36 at the repo lot on trader on line would be a nice one to freshen up, if you could buy it right.

rpm 130,000.00 sold

really i have no more than 120 maybe 130 for the right deal, that includes my trade thanks though

im looking at one 97 36 apache thats real nice its on traderonline... 600 scs and bravo xr... but its looking like it will need fresh motors soon and thats an expense i cannot afford 10k for two motors wow! i like the mystiqe cause it does 80 w/ stock power and 5 yr warranty!

like i said i can just afford the boat w/ financing... i cant afford big motor /drive problems or high$$ maint that may arise

catch 22... lots of nice boats out there for that money, but i have to look at the yearly cost for the next 2-5 yrs... that's where i'm limited

keep the suggestions coming!

here is what i want... bigger and faster( no suprise there)
the question become whether its a lot bigger and alittle faster OR a little bigger and a lot faster

here is where i stand:

1XX,000.00 budget ( low hundreds people )

1) 2002 TS mystique
1 new twin step
2 post 2000 vacuum bag constr.
3 bulletproof motor/drive/ 5yr warr
4 80 mph

cons
1 smaller
2 not to popular only 16 made
3 small cockpit

2) 1996-99 Top Gun
1 bigger LOA
2 bigger full cabin w/ head
4 bigger cockpit

cons
1 slower by 10 mph
2 resale w/ compare to T/S??
3 older motors, more hrs or hawk SCs (more maint $$ in near future)
4 more $$$ on gas ins and storage

as they say its not the cost of the boat that kills you!!

so my decision is also economicaly driven after the purchase:

1 resale value
2 oper. costs ( cant afford blown motors/ drives)
3 LOA and cockpit
4 speed MUST be 72-73 in fresh water

did i forgot anything?

all opinons welcome

Uh how about a new 28 Pantera with a 600 Innovation and an xz drive. More cockpit space than a 30 mystique 80+ MPH and only one engine to take care of?

Default 36 Apache

Dreamer,

There is always the 36 Apache that is out in California for $110K. Does 90+, and looks pretty sweet. Only downfall is the bravo's I guess. the guy is really nice, and from the pictures the boat looks like it is in good shape. It was a repo boat, has 502's with Prochargers or something like that.
