Old news.
His father is the wealthiest man in Florida. You should have seen the girths of money that Cigarette Racing and the Ruiz family were throwing around in Key West last week.
Big money and new blood can work.
We've seen dumber things happen in the boating industry.
Some have failed. Some have worked.
Let's lay back and watch it ride out. I wish them well. Some of their product need some re-invigorating.
And they have a production capability advantage over some of their competitors right now.
I wish them well.

This outlined the deal that made him rich and how it is related to BurgerFi/other businesses:

Article noted the valuations ranged from 10 to 23 billion........that is a huge spread among guys that literally put deals like this together all the time.

The age may not be an issue, the money won't be the issue. Not sure on how AMG is going to feel when "the World Champion" starts making golf carts, jetskis etc. Harley Davidson went on a long tear trying to brand everything HD from pickups (Ford) right down to door mats. HD got a little too crazy like they couldn't say "no" to branding anything stuck in front of them. Cig needs to keep the brand premium, not mass produce token products that take away from the premium.

Age isn’t really the factor for me…it’s the silver spooning. What has this kid done to convince anyone he can run a multi million dollar company? Likely nothing. Simply being born into wealth is enough.
don’t get me wrong. many young people have started and successfully run major companies. I already gave a few examples. Those people are wired completely different than most and usually is the reason why they are successful.
hopefully I’m wrong. I’m not optimistic with the golf carts and jet skies. Not off to a great start.

Mike Fiore was pretty young when he founded OL, Dan was pretty young when he started running the place.

It’s all just round table talk, sobhopefully no obe gets all bent up. Smells weird to me too, of course but Everyone here knows everyone else here hopes the brand succeeds….thus the young man and family succeed. :thumbs

It could have been handled so many better ways. Even if the kid worked at the company for 2-3 years before moving into the top spot.
scary that people calling the shots thought it was a good idea. Very telling.

This is just a guess, but I am betting that they hired an experienced “right hand man” to mentor him, albeit behind the scenes. There is simply no way that the young man could succeed without allot of guidance. As a captain, you really learn how to operate a boat when the winds are blowing and the sea is rough. He simply does not have enough of those experiences. I do wish them all the best of luck!
