Kentucky tornados

I'm sure everyone has seen the pictures and some videos but I came across one from Kentucky Lake that was just ugly. Just thinking about our OSO brothern and hoping everyone is ok.

Just messaged an old friend in Paducah a little north of Mayfield to see how they made out .
The scenes on the news stations are horrific .
Thoughts go out to all those affected at this tragic time .

So sad. Makes all my problems look small even after losing my wife🥲

We sold our place on the lake last summer but two friends went down Saturday to check on their places at the The Moors, all is good at the Moors. Cambridge Shores which is one bay north took a direct hit and sustained heavy damage. Videos from the taken from the lake show most homes destroyed or with heavy damage. I have ready news reports of damage around the Eddy Creek area on Lake Barkley where the tornado cross the lake.

I find it so crazy how destructive a tornado can be yet only feet away things are untouched! Saw on the news a wall of a building was ripped off yet all the books on the shelves were all in place like nothing happened! They were also saying that radar had debris at 35,000 feet in the air!!! Pictures have been found 150miles away in Indiana!!

Bowling Green is a mess but it missed my house by 2 blocks and my practice by 1 block. We were lucky. The community is amazing in how it’s helping everyone.

Glad to hear. My daughter is up there at WKU. Had a couple scary calls from her Friday night as they had them holed up in the dorm stairwell. We really didn't know the extent until after we woke up Saturday morning. We were just there over Thanksgiving. Such a great town.

I am amazed at some of the drone videos coming out. Normally you can se the path pretty clear since it is relatively narrow. On some of these it looks like a hurricane came trough, everything is flatten for 100's of yards wide.

It was 3/4 to 1 mile wide and I've never saw anything like it around western Ky. I've lived here my whole life and saw many bad weather events, just not like this. It went south of where we live, but completely demolished some of my wifes families homes.
