I have the Explorer II and wish I would have got the Platinum Yachtmaster. The Yachtmaster is a full pimp watch and you will not see to many out there.

I must be a lucky one because mine and my wifes Rolexes keep great time. She wears hers to work diving and I wear mine doing all sorts of dumb things. They have never let us down. I have also had good luckwith my TAGs. I still think that the Submariner is one of the toughest watches ever. We have guys at work who wear them everyday jackhammering and other stuff like that. I bought a TAG Monaco for a dress watch and I never wear it, the Rolex seems to fit most occasions.

diamond bezel & band 18k gold pres. ,10 years old, not a scratch on the crystal and I wear it boating, diving, work. That is some amazing stuff that crystal is made of. It does loose about 3-5 minutes a month. You are paying for the gold and the name not an absolute accurate time piece. I have a Timex Ironman that keeps perfect time, about $40.00.

Yachtmaster all the way... Submariners are about as ubiquitous as scooters in Key West. I have an Omega Seamaster (stay away from these...) lousy quality... and I have a Breitling that I wear everyday and love. Automatic, keeps time within about 2 min. a month and waterproof to 5,000 feet, (yeah, you need that right!?) and in the two years that I have owned it, I have not seen anyone else with the same one, anywhere.
