That’s the reason some of us don’t have as big and expensive of a boat.

Although I do think they are very cool and love watching them run!

Life is too short to have that attitude. "Very few cheap things are good and very few good things are cheap"

Probably when my kids force me into a nursing home and we have to get on one for a field trip.

Not happening here but believe it or not it’s already starting to happen. For real. Some right here that you know of on OSO. 😳. Just not for me. I’d have chit all over the place and get so frustrated. Imagine during that frustration a nasty sounding offshore boat does a flyby and washes you down. Would suck so bad. 😂

I struggle with a Bimini top under the right conditions.

I can say that since Biden took office i have gotten more calls from boaters about getting their A/C systems up and running then ever before. About a month or so before boating season gets going up north i start getting calls from people who are starting to de-winterize their boats and are testing the A/C systems.....Around here it usually starts around beginning of May. .i usually get 2-3 calls per day. I can say that i've gotten more on the order of 4-5 sometime 7-8 calls per day asking questions. Its usually "why is my pump leaking when i turn the A/C system on?" Or "We've had this boat for X amount of years and are now testing the system out to see if it works" I think a lot of people are just partying at the docks instead of cruising around and with prices going up its only gonna get worse. I don't think its gonna keep people from going out on the boat, it will just change their style of boating.

A bunch of us use to have a ton of fun beaching it in the grand haven channel by the musical fountain as well as rafting off with about 100 boats in spring lake cove. Those were the days when I realized I had to switch from Budweiser to bud light. Fk I’d have a case gone by 3-4:00 in the afternoon and wouldn’t remember chit.

So yes absolutely you can still have a lot of fun… it just comes with a price also. 🙄. Headaches. Lol

With the possible exception of Ed and his crazy ice buggy, you Michigan guys probably have blood in your eyes after a long winter. I’d definitely have more tolerance for high $$ fuel after being shut down for months.

Been doing a lot of sailing. Free fuel and faster than the powerboat. Just need to wear more than shorts and tee shirt. ed
