Despite the verbal gaffs and blunders that he is famous for, in reality Bush is extremely smart. He is extemely crafty too - the Merck/Texas school deal was so cleverly done that almost no one even noticed.
You cannot reach the highest level of power, and convince billions to believe in you if you are dumb. If he was dumb, I would not be so worried. |
Son of a Texas congressman was able to luxuriate in the decadent opulence of a Houston Air National Guard base, while some poor boys were forced to do the really dangerous work like leading exhausting protest marches at Oxford. Enough!!
There is an old theological term describing an inherent inability to accept the truth even when it's staring you right in the face. In casting around for an apt description of what intellectual disorder afflicts members of the National Socialist Democrat party (NSDP), it occurred to me. argumentum ad ignorantiam - arguing from ignorance Right Cat you of all people should understand it and this more than fills the bill These people, in modern parlance, simply don't get it. They have just been run over and flattened by a steamroller which they cannot even believe exists. As a result they ignore the machine that has just rendered them into two-dimensional objects and run around looking for reasons to explain why they are now flat as pancakes. On Nov. 5, the VOTERS showed that they understand that they've been the targets of a bunch of socialist thugs and thugesses with no other goal in mind than the need to win in order to impose Marxism upon the nation – a socialist regime they and they alone will manage for now and forever. The party of Bill and Hillary Clinton, Terry McAuliffe, Tom Daschle, Dick Gephardt and their coterie of wealthy Hollywood idiots, baby killers in the billion-dollar abortion industry, blood-sucking trial lawyers, corrupt big labor bosses, dumb-down-the-kids educrats and all sorts of other miscreants and mountebanks Nov 5 was their waterloo. :D |

Iraq has the largest untapped oil reserves in the world.
Imagine the wealth that would pour into Bush-connected oil companies should the US gain control of these resources, appoint its own power in Iraq, and virtually eliminate OPEC? Just something to think about. |

Canada Jeff,
Well said. I hope the post came across as intended, that being my dissapointment in "officials" (Canada or other countries) not the everyday people who make up the nation(s) |
