only 9.9 hp(equivalent) but you have to start somewhere with technology/concepts

Boats and airplanes will just never work well with electric power as long as a battery source is required. Someone develops a safe nuclear/hydrogen/alien technology solution then the sky is the limit...but not until then. But kudos to Yamaha for being at the forefront of the propulsion end of things.
Enough of the electric, please. That is all. Thank you.

Neat. When we get to do the great loop someday, I plan to build out a hybrid drive system with as many solar panels as I can.
Even if it's just putting 2-3 electric outboards on the back and building out some custom battery setup. By 2035 can't wait to see what tech is available. |
hydrogen is almost impossible to work with and store without unintended combustion so cross that off ur green marine fuel too, in the long run gasoline is the most green fuel after all is said and done
Yup makes no sense. So now how much more electricity do we need to fuel via natural gas, coal and nuclear due to all the additional charging facilities. Hmmm.
just my useless opinion but batteries are not the future. I think that someone will come up with a power source for electric that we have never heard of or can imagine. remember that when star trek and dick tracy came out everyone thought the idea of a wrist video phone or interstellar communication was a science fiction fantasy but look at us now. until a "battery" that is safe to manufacture, use and recycle is created then electric is just a dirtier engine that makes liberals feel good.
Let’s think about this.....if we do get enough people to go electric, that will mean more fuel for the rest of us to burn! And hopefully at a cheaper price with less demand!
I have been watching a bunch of Elon Musk stuff lately and he does make sense when he says that if technology gains even 10% per year, it will not be long until batteries can power a boat or airplane, along with cars. Companies are building the "hardware" so that it is there when the battery power shows up.

Oh how I will hopefully only look down and say damm I sure miss the blatblatblat rumble of a cammed up bbc. And then go back to my world we’re it still exist just cause I want it to. 😂
