Trailering a big cat

From someone who mostly just lurks around here, you guys are a wealth of information. I recently sold my Scarab and have been looking at large performance boats to replace it. I found a good deal on a 48 Express cat. My question is, how hard is it to tow a boat like this and deal with the law, wide loads etc. The boat is 11 feet wide. I have a new diesel dually so the truck is all set. Thanks

Did you buy Wayne Bells boat ?

PatriYacht 11-23-2002 09:09 AM

I haven't met Wayne Bell so I don't think it's his. Haven't bought it yet, just looking at things like that and Black Thunders. Anything that's big and comfortable and still fast. Do you have any info on his boat?

Not really,
A friend works for him and the last I heard he was trying to sell. I don't exactly know what it has for power other than blower motors with Arneson's and well ... a very unique paint job.
If your interested I can find out some more info.

26 Scarab, is his boat called Cat Attack? That is a great looking boat that was for sale a while back. Couldn't sell my boat fast enough.

it seems alot of times the fine might be cheaper than the permit. I know of 1 member that toed a BIG cat back from Fl to MI with no permit and was just fine

I know the permits are only good for day light hours and no weekends. I have a feeling you only need to permit if you trailering in between states.
