...and it seems the WP has no problem issuing a regatta permit for a 150 80+ mph bass boats who drive like freakin meniacs and who will probably end the day with more crushed Bud cans than fish... but yet wouldn't give a permit to Poker Runs America this year who puts on a well organized event and is very concerned with boater safety. Some definite BS there.

I wonder if they will need any patrol boat's like at the shoot-out? I watched the video of last's years Kilo Run and didn't see any, But then again they were moving pretty FAST!!

If they do need them, I have a couple of Pontoon's that could be used!?!?!

If anyone is going to "officially" break the magic number in a KILO run it has to be JT. Best of luck and be safe...

Where can you watch from? I thought last time teh ran up by the dam. Can you get up close to the boats? Might just have to sneak down theer that day.

No doubt a Skater can exceed 200 mph...........Also no doubt a Skater (or any cat) can backflip at a much lower speed. It's up to setup and driving skills. CatCanDo flipped at under 140......... Callan runs over 200.......

God Speed.......... Johnny.

I just hope no one gets hurt, alot can go wrong at 200 MPH and the end results I can promise will not be pretty.
Best wishes to all that try and that they are successful and can come back and everything is cool
What safety precautions are they taking?
How many boats and stuff are going to be out there to help if needed?

Waterpatrol will not allow any spectator boats between Gravois Mill and Dam on "Kilo" day. Best place to watch is the dock at Lucky Duck restaurant.

Cool!! Thanks Dave!!
Good Luck!!

Is you boat the only one running?

T2x:

Cat Can Do also had somewhat of a freak occurrence in that a crab pot was entagled around one of the #6's during the kilo run. Created a bit of unanticipated drag. The boat behaved like it never had up to that point, and hasn't since. Definitely an unlikely incident, but I guess it does show how quickly these things can happen.

Best of luck for speed and safety in setting the record!

Sam:

Actually I interviewed both of the Cat Can Do team for TNN immediately after the flip and viewed the boat during the repairs immediately afterward at the Fountain plant. There was never any mention of a crab pot nor did I see any evidence of it....maybe it was removed earlier.

The throttleman did mention that he backed down, but the boat kept accelerating and climbing. However close scrutiny of the video shows no reduction in roostertail until take off...indicating that power was still full on....at least until the props left the water.

T2x........... guilty of believing my eyes over my ears.
