I am pleased that others get the same thrill that I get when seeing/experiencing the Blues!

Although the Thunderbirds are cool to watch as well......i'll take the Blue Angles any day of the week! When they come to Chicago i always seem to be downtown on their training day the day before the show and its awesome to watch them buzzing around the city!
There was one year about 20yrs back (OMG its been that long ago!) that they had an F-14 tomcat in the show. I was out in my old scarab and we thought the practice was over so we headed over to Navy Pier just to do a drive by and check things out. I guess the Pilot of the Tomcat was a bit to happy on the throttles and just as he was coming out from the city and going over Navy Pier out to Lake Michigan he broke the sound barrier! To say it scared the crap out of us is an understatement! It literally felt like the boat expanded and contracted when it hit! It was one of the coolest things i have ever experienced! I would LOOOOOOVE to be able to get a ride on a Blue Angel for a practice run! I think i would have a permanent smile on my face till the day i die after that! LOL
The F-18 has been one of my favorite planes since it came out...after that i'd say the Warthog is right there next to it

Thunderbirds are great BUT I bleed Blue!
I was a finalist for Blue Angel #8 (Event Coordinator-Naval Flight Officer/RIO) back in 1990.
Did some static displays at airshows in TomCats/Skyhawks.
Appreciate A-10s!

I was given the opportunity to fly with the Breitling jet team. They aren’t F18’s but still cool. They use trainer albatros L-39’s.
