Angry work sucks

just wondering if i'm the only sucker working today
it seems most everybody else i know has off.
the worst part of being here is that there is nothing to do
that's when OSO comes in handy
let me know if you feel my pain

I use to work holidays when I did the shift work thing. I always hated it except when the paycheck came the following week.
We used to get triple time for holidays.
I work straight days with holidays off. Much better but less money. My time is more valuable now.
Bottom line is, be glad you have a job.
Some of our members don't and I feel for those guys.
Like you said, at least you got OSO.

Russ,
I can relate, having missed many Holidays and weekends for the past 13 years.
May I ask what type of work you do? I have worked for commission in my 46 years. Many Sunday open houses while friends are out on the water. Hang in there bud, it will be over with soon.
Regards, Russ Withiam

a lot of my customers are closed today so i'm pretty bored
its decent money especially in the winter months but
when the shops are closed i can't sell
i would just rather be home eating some more turkey
thanks RLW

I fully expect to be unemployed come monday morning. I have worked at this company now for 20 years and 3 years ago they informed me that due to my service to the company I no longer had to be on call. Last week they informed me that I was to go back on call. Wednesday I informed them that I wasn't going to do it. ( When you are on call you are never home and one year I put in 105 hrs in one week - I told them that would never happen again) Their are a lot of other things that have happened lately. The company no longer cares about the employee. I hold a unique possition at the company and I hold one of the licences. They have me on call for Sunday ( I have family over that day from out of state) I expect the S##t to hit the fan that morning when the answering service wonders WHY I don't answer my pager? ( It will be out in the truck) I don't worry about getting a job with my skills since they are in high demand- but with the economy the way it is I may not get as good of pay as I am making now. The option also is to start my own company.
SCARRY THOUGHT
