I've always been a big fan of the "sport" center consoles like the Cafe Opens, Ocean Hawks, Concepts and the handful of ones the likes of Powerplay, AT, OL built. Less bling, more usable but still built for a little speed and to carry multiple people and not really built to fish but you could if you wanted too. Basically what was the foundation of where we are now with the huge performance CC craze.

Exactly when they first came out with the semi performance CC it was all about easier to take care of, not now.

I thought Cig licensed the design of the Ocean Hawk for the Cafe Open but it was not actually a Cig Design.

I do believe they are actually cig molds based off of the cafe / mistress hull (like every other vee bottom of the day) and licensed and eventually sold (or just lost along the way) to Ocean hawk. You can see the similarity to the 28SS open.

There's a 33 Powerplay CC for sale right now with 525s. The perfect boat.

It's on FB in the powerplay owners group. They built a handful of factory I/O 33 CCs. This had to be one of the last ones. If you aren't into outboards (some of us still aren't) its the perfect boat. Should run low to mid 80s.

Powerplay built a couple. Cool boats. Outerlimits. Apache, a few companies built em I/o CC’s. They pop up from time to time.

im not looking to to buy. Looking for some set up advice but I reached out to Craig Barrie. He knows best. Considering he built them….twice.
