Performance Powerboats Announces Three-Catamaran Lineup
On top of showing off its new 28-foot outboard-powered catamaran last night during the Lake of the Ozarks Shootout on the Strip, Performance Boat Center announced its plans for the new Performance Powerboats catamaran line that includes 28-, 36- and 42-foot cats.

So, they are not build by Doug Wright any more? But they are designed by Doug Wright?

Are they still building the 32 ?

Wonder how expensive the 28' is...

Considering that the 28 they unveiled is a DW designed boat (my friend owns one w/ 300XSs), and the 36 and 42 are both sizes DW already designed and built for them, I'd say it's fairly certain this will be an all DW design line-up of cats. From my limited knowledge of the DW/Performance relationship, DW always kept full rights to the 32. He gave the rights to the 28 to Phat Cat Boats and the 36 and 42 to PBC. This latest news is no surprise, but I'm glad to see them picking up the 28 - that's going to be a great entry-level performance cat with a single. I feel the market has been needing something like that for some time now, and I wish them luck with it!

Any more pics of the 28? Curious if it has the same deck and transom as the Fat Cat 28 or they changed it to mimic the larger hulls.

Looks like my buddy Dan's 28 to me. This pic is from 7/26/17..........those DW28s have been out for several years now.

I am familiar with the Fat Cat 28. It is built as a twin setup with the raised areas on the transom for the brackets. If the transom is kept like that for a single engine, it would look off. Not to mention the gearcase issues running a single on a true tunnel.
