Marginmn,
Not to derail or hijack, but.... Where on Cumberland are you? Thanks. Brad. (937)545-8991 JTBooten, you have to pay to store it dry currently? Is it inside? Winterize it, storage prep it, let it sit for a year or 2 and forget about it. :drink: I've done that before. To that point now again maybe. The hassle has part to do, but mostly just get wore down with the "same ole, same ole". Get bored. Could live with or without it. |

Do it all myself.
It amazes me how even my own family/friends can't follow simple directions at the dock . Like every time is their first. Also, you ever tell people to do something directly (like just do what I say, no thought needed) and then they do something different, like they thought for themselves and you didn't need them to? Then when you need them to think for themselves and do things accordingly they act as if it's impossible? |

I've been taking my wife on the boat for 20 yrs. To this day, when I dock, she'll wrap the rope around the dock cleat in a circular fashion then ask me "is that right"?:picard1:

So our story.....A plethora of Go-Fast boats for 30 years with my wife...she's a rock star mate. She has her role and I have mine. Granted she can operate the boats and knows the routine around the docks well. Of course this was a learning process...and one for me teaching her. With that said...we still own Go-Fast (marina rack stored) and also a 37' Formula PC transient slip kept at same marina. I would never do it any other way. We trailered for years (has it's ups and downs), we trailered all of the Go-Fast boats to Poker Runs and still do, .... Arriving at the marina, having the staff grab our Go-Fast and dropping it in the water is awesome, easy and relaxing.
Now with the PC...It is relaxing boating for sure. have all your guests, anchor out, all the amenities, etc, etc.... Freaking boat is huge. Cleaning is a massive job (our schedules do not allow us to be at the boat every weekend so it gets dirty then it's a job to clean), certainly easier if we were able to be there every week but its still huge. My opinion, doesn't matter what you get (unless its 14' aluminum boat), it will always be work (it is pleasure work)...At 34 years old ???? I am 56 and there is nothing else I would rather do than be on the boats...Cleaning, playing, servicing, whatever. We are looking to down size from the PC and get into something more simple (IE: CC, possibly Pontoon)....that will be decided once we retire in the next couple of years. Regardless, as mentioned previously by others, if you rid yourself of the G-Fast boat and into a Cruiser, be prepared to get bored (maybe you won't)...I personally would have jumped overboard if all we had was the PC:lolhit:. Wish you the best of luck with your decision. Never an easy one. Cheers, |

While you are correct, EVERY marina on Cumberland has "that green". Thanks. Brad. (937)545-8991 |

Grider Hill.
We are on absolute opposite ends of the lake.🙄 We aren't IN the marina, but our house overlooks Burnside. I'm on the list for a slip, though, but only because we intend to rent the house as a vacation home. Thanks. Brad. (97)545-8991 |
