I would love to know the exact list of the equipment in this build, I cannot imagine how it is even close to $100k. In my cabin cruiser, I have all top of the line JL and have about $35k in all materials. I did the labor myself and saved around $31k with 250 hours in the build @ $125/ hour (No clue what the going hourly rate is).

Going further, 28,000 watts at 12.5 VDC equates to 2,240 amps (at full volume). The only amps that I am aware of that have full output at 12.5 - 14.4 volts are JL Audio's HD line. This 26' boat obviously doesn't have a generator so it will not be above 12.5 volts (13 volts if lithium) while off of shore power. Just for fun, I looked at Kicker's line of marine amps and the largest is a 1200/2, which would only make sense for 2 subs but whatever. Regardless, 14 amps x 1200 watts is 16,800 watts.

I would absolutely love to see what possible battery setup that could fit on a 26' boat and would allow him to run this system for 10 hours. Even if it was a lithium setup with 100ah batteries that he was draining down to 0% SOC (which is unrealistic), it would be ~22 group 31 size batteries. Now, obviously no one cranks the volume all the way up for 10 hours, but you get my point.

Kicker makes a 1800x1 at 12V

I have the 1200W version and it makes 1440 at 14.4. It’s blown a good number of subs now 😂.

Would love to see pics of your setup.

I think you have to have 10 posts before you can post pictures. Best bet is to go find some easy posts to respond to, to up your post count.

Elite: Yes. You need 10 posts to upload anything.

Premier - You should add more amps and speakers. :wink sarcasm :)

So I will just postpone the documents for value and cost until later.
1st off
You must not be familiar with the whole Kicker KXA line with there 1600.1 amps and the 2400.1
There are 6 1600.1 running each of the 6 Comp q series subs. Every 2 pair of 8" are powered by a 1200.2.
Although we are not 100% on power it is 23-25 k.
Clearly you jumped to keyboard warrior for some inferior complex to try and discredit someone you do not know or have all information in hand.
There is a generator as well as 2 XSPower PSC 90 amp power supplies.
The boat has 5 Odyssey pc 1800 135# each cell tower batteries with 1 within a foot of all amplifiers combined with 12 runs of Kicker marine 0 gauge wire and runs 4 hours at 3/4 volume no gen and even better at 14.5 v. It will run indefinitely with generator. Each one of these batteries are equal to 2.5 group 31 for a total of 12.5 group 31s

There are endless videos of this boat playing this loud and long on the web that are not even from us.
There must be a reason we are invited back to SEMA for the 2nd year and grouped with the loudest vehicles on the planet
the spl guys.
We are always here in Lake Havasu if you would like to go head to head with your JL against my Kicker system.

As for labor that is a whole different discussion. I cut The floor out of the boat and built custome enclosures in the sponsons to get maximum proper air space etc. Stuff no one would know or be able to tell.
Total build on this boat was $108,703.89 with approx 90k for stereo and add 25k for boat. This is all documented and insured for $130 k

Am I the only who thinks it's moronic to put more than say a couple hundred pounds of audio equipment in a boat? I'd be surprised if that boat could handle more than 4 adults without exceeding the weight capacity. And for what purpose......... so you can go deaf by the time your 50? I don't get it

I have 5 speakers and 2 amps so there......:nhl_fight:

I own an Audio shop and this is my demo boat.
