This has the 2 control heads for the XS Power 90amp PSC power supplies. They make sure that my votage is constant at 14.4 volts. In addition to that these are adjustble up to 18v and i can set them to 15.5 if the volume is up at max and run super efficient because Kicker amp will run up to 15.9 ⚡️ with zero issues as long as the batteries dont jave to absorb that voltage.

I doubt you can even begin to think of how i even thought and came up with the 💡 of doing something like this let alone the design, planning, execution of building something like this and having it be a tuned and ported sub enclosure. To make it look like it came from the factory with an almost 7 cubic ft enclosure without losing any room in the boat.

Decent work, almost seem like a decent guy too cept for the kicker owner/mic drop moment........ :picard1: :angry-smiley-038::)

See, if I had a boat like that I'd go around asking the ladies if they want a humm job. Get yourself a PA system hooked up to the speakers and tell the girls to load up and sit down and just hummmm your lips in the PA system with bass turned up until their all wet in the pants, like howard stern did that one morning on radio on my way to school :evilb:

I still cannot post pictures etc but will keep trying.

Nope got busy yesterday, and just now getting on to check this. Have a meeting in a few minutes but will respond to your earlier post afterwards.

1st off
You must not be familiar with the whole Kicker KXA line with there 1600.1 amps and the 2400.1
There are 6 1600.1 running each of the 6 Comp q series subs. Every 2 pair of 8" are powered by a 1200.2.
Although we are not 100% on power it is 23-25 k.
Clearly you jumped to keyboard warrior for some inferior complex to try and discredit someone you do not know or have all information in hand.
There is a generator as well as 2 XSPower PSC 90 amp power supplies.
The boat has 5 Odyssey pc 1800 135# each cell tower batteries with 1 within a foot of all amplifiers combined with 12 runs of Kicker marine 0 gauge wire and runs 4 hours at 3/4 volume no gen and even better at 14.5 v. It will run indefinitely with generator. Each one of these batteries are equal to 2.5 group 31 for a total of 12.5 group 31s

There are endless videos of this boat playing this loud and long on the web that are not even from us.
There must be a reason we are invited back to SEMA for the 2nd year and grouped with the loudest vehicles on the planet
the spl guys.
We are always here in Lake Havasu if you would like to go head to head with your JL against my Kicker system.

As for labor that is a whole different discussion. I cut The floor out of the boat and built custome enclosures in the sponsons to get maximum proper air space etc. Stuff no one would know or be able to tell.
Total build on this boat was $108,703.89 with approx 90k for stereo and add 25k for boat. This is all documented and insured for $130 k

Alright, I have 13 minutes until my meeting so I can respond now.

This is exactly what I wanted to see, a more detailed list of equipment. You have to understand, I am an audio enthusiast especially on boats. So, when I read an article that just says 28,000 watts and then another saying 25,000 watts with no other info, I find myself wondering what all is in that build? Thank you for clarifying with those details! That is a bad ass build for sure!

I do have a couple general questions;
1. Did you install a built in generator? because that would be badass on a deck boat, but I'm guessing you're using a Honda style.
2. How many amps does the system pull at full volume? I cant even imagine how loud that thing must be, bet it sounds insane!
3. Any idea how much weight everything added? I'm guessing you had to drop down in prop sizes?

Also, FWIW, I was by no means saying this build wasn't loud or that my JL system is louder. Of course yours is louder, if nothing else by the sheer amount of equipment. This is an amazing build to showcase your shop's abilities, I love it! I simply built mine because I was bored last winter lol.

Hey there.
The generator is not built in just do to the fact of space.
I have been working with xs on a suitable lithium setup that would free up space and weight however I am not convinced in its reliability yet. With lithium my play time without the generator would probably be 30 minutes if that.

The batteries alone are approx 650#. I would estimate total for everything 2200#. Fortunately this is a tri sponson boat so had a high weight capacity and we just don't pack it with a bunch of people.
It also has the 350 mag with the bravo 3 so it still believe it or not does 44-47 mph and is only down ftom 56 mph when i got it .
My response was not trying to be a jerk but being called out as a liar is not pleasant when i have so much of myself invested into this boat. The install is not perfect however out here we use this boat constantly and have tons of fun with it.

Elite Audio 09-23-2022 11:40 AM

The system is set up with 5 300amp breakers and 1 500 amp fuse at the battery where the amps are.
at max normal volume it will use every bit of the 2000 amps available. I can give the song choice get the circuit breakers to pop all at once if I go crazy with the volume. At some point you just run out of available voltage and the batteries cannot release enough current quick enough. Hopefully with a lithium set up that could be avoided

PremierPOWER 09-23-2022 11:52 AM

That is insane, I love it! I imagine the bass is substantial enough to legit make small ripples off the boat when its floating on smooth water?

xlint89 09-24-2022 08:34 AM

Good stuff Elite. I will admit I too thought the article was pure BS. Looking through Kicker's website I didn't see the line of amps you installed and thought there's no way that's possible. After seeing the pics, it does appear to be true.

Love the idea of using the wasted space under the deck. I have tons of room in my boat that I was trying to figure how to utilize it for a sub enclosure, but never really came up with a way to vent it to the cabin properly.

The idea I came up with was having a band pass enclosure in the engine bay, and running an external port through the "firewall" where it would vent to the cabin through the open gunwales. That way the speaker is sealed and there is no potential for a spark from a shorted speaker causing an explosion. I understand a bandpass is not the most ideal set up, but I hope it achieves the results I am looking for if done correctly. If it doesn't work out, I have a small hole that cannot be seen and can easily be patched. As opposed to cutting fiberglass like you. That takes a lot of guts.

Glad to see you showcasing Kicker as a viable option. They are reasonably priced and not generally recommended. I really like JL stuff and just got my first Wet Sounds, but their prices are insane for you get. Hopefully Kicker changes this way of thinking.
