Garmin Echomap P79 transducer

I’m hoping someone can help me on this issues.

I have a Garmin Echmap94SV plus unit and using a Airmar P79 transducer.

I installed the transducer in the recommended area with RV anti freeze but not getting a depth reading. I tried contacting Airmar and they are no help and called Garmin with no help either.

I have seen Airmar makes many various models under the P79 transducer. Airmar indicated it should work.

apparently there is no way to test the transducer according to both manufacturers.

Before I purchase a Garmin similar unit I figured I would reach out to you all for advice.

Mine quit Working on my Garman till we had to go into the active captain and do an update then it started working again I thought for some reason my transducer was bad but apparently just needed an update
